Griffin Design Free Headshot Offer!

If your reading this blog you must've seen my TFP offer recently and are all fired up about it!
Before I give you the details about the upcomming session let me tell you a little bit about me and why free headshots.

Based in Los Angeles, I'm 28 and am branching my photography buisness into more areas. I have been photographing weddings for the past 3 years professionally and have been a connisieur of photography for about 7 years total. I have studied the classical styles of photography from Charles J. Lewis (probably the best formal style photographer of the midwest) and photojournalist Bambi Cantrell for about 4 years. Studying both styles allows me to see things in a very unique way. This is why I couldnt limit myself to only photographing weddings or just fashion type portraiture. I am highly interested in expanding into the world of fashion photography. In order for me to do this I will need to get a bit of practice in this area with my brand spankin new equipment and would like to start here!

TFP/TFCD is the exchange of a models' and photographers' time for valuable portfolio development that otherwise could cost the two individually thousands of dollars. At the same time a model gets the feel for a photo session and the photographer improves his techniques.

Couple thing you should know about how my TFP/TFCD session works:

1) Model Release and Session Evaluation Form Required Day Of Shoot.

2) I will only work with 2 persons per shoot. So don’t bring more than 1 friend with you please! Friends that are brought along are frequently recruited as assistants! Let them know this in advance! Their there... they can fix hair, makeup, hold a reflector stand in for some test shots, they belong to us both for use! I require you to bring a friend (Our personal assistant) along for your own personal comfort.

3) B.Y.O. Hair, Makeup, Clothing and stylist (A.K.A. "Our Personal Assistant".

4) The best candidate based on the session type, based on session type, availability and required demographics will be selected.

5) Your images will be emailed to you the following day after the session unenhanced as well as burned to CD 2-3 weeks later after enhancements are completed on the winning crop of images. (The Photographer has the right to edit down the images. However, with proper planning, expect to see up to 10+ quality images that could be used in your portfolio.)

Things you should know:
1) I photograph Digitally or/and Film which really doesnt matter!

2) I use a lot of natural light, but, when the situation calls for it I use studio light on location.
4) I prefer my subjects to look natural (for some reason it just speaks very loudly to casting directors as well as my own taste.
5) Since my energy reflects your energy during a photoshoot I come with a positive attitude so bring a positive attitude or be smart and cancel you session no later than 8hrs in advance if under any stress that could have an effect on your smile!
6) If your serious about modeling, acting or anything that requires your face on camera... know your face! Know how to control your eyebrows, lips, cheek, smiles (you should have at least 3 - smirk, some teeth, and full mouth), and forhead lines (how much and what expressions bring them out). Practice in the mirror alone at least 2x's a week to completely know your ability as a subject our goal is to create a range of expression!

Last but not least... these are very - very limited sessions! I will only be doing about 12 sessions total in 2007 so contact me asap let me know your excited and willing!

MUST BE 21 OR OLDER

No nudity (or partial nudity)!

Height: 5'6 - 5'10

Weight: 120lbs - 150lbs

Hair Color: Any

Hair Length: Shoulder Legnth or Longer

Clothing Selection: No Pattern!

Please Note: I will email you a session interest confirmation for you to email back. This will asssure that know one else but you sent the email requesting a TFP session. If the email is not responded to within 48 hrs the initial email notifiying me of interest will be discarded and not considered.

Heres an example of a model type shot created on a recent test photoshoot. Your session will focus mainly on the headshot aspect of this session type although I will photograph you many - many different ways.
